Aloha ‘Aina

At the heart of Hawaiian values is the concept of taking care of the land (Malama ‘Aina) and the sea (Malama Kai). Our farms are nestled inside an ancient forest in the South Kona district, full of rich and fertile volcanic soil, diverse flora and fauna, and ancient Hawaiian archaeological sites.

Protecting The Native Wildlife

Hawaii is home to many endemic species of plants and animals. Their ecosystem is fragile and is constantly under threat from development and misuse of the land. To combat this, we remove invasive species that compete for space and resources and preserve the existing native forest.

Preserving Culture and Heritage

Once inhabited by the ancient settlers, our farms are filled with remnants of Hawaii’s past. Many walls and other structures can still be found throughout the properties. These sites are culturally and historically significant, and we diligently survey the land for any traces of archaeological sites before any development. We honor these sacred places by committing to preserve and care for them.
